There are several different possible color spaces, that can be used to store the information used to create an image. The most common is RGB (Red, Green and Blue), which is used by digital cameras, and monitors. There is also CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black) that is used for printing. There are several other additional color spaces such as HSV, LAB and HSL.
Color channels store the information exclusive to that specific color, when combined with multiple colors, will create a full color image. Each channel will hold the data for one color, Red, Green or Blue, and when combined, become an RGB image. This video will show you how to manipulate the different channels of color, and give an introduction of how to use them with the Channel Palette.
